Q: Can I see what my bag is going to look like before I order?
A: We will send you an extremely detailed art proof in PDF format. The art proof will show you the type of bag you are making and the art sized to scale. You will also see the colors you are printing and how many sides they are printed on.

Q: What type of art files do you accept?
A: The better the art you submit, the better your job will come out! We require high resolution (vector) camera ready art. (JPEG and GIF files are not camera ready art.) For the best results you should submit your art work out of Adobe Photo Shop or Adobe Illustrator with an EPS file extension. If you can’t provide camera ready art, our graphics art department can prepare any type of art you need, the cost for this service is $95 per hour.

Q: How do I submit art for a project?
A: You can send your art in 3 ways.

1. Email your art to art@adartpolybag.com
   When emailing art, please check the file size. For files 3 megabytes or smaller, you can send them as regular files. For files 3 megabytes or larger, please compress them using compression software, we recommend Win Zip or Stuff It.
2. You can send your art on CD or DVD to:

3. Upload your art in our Request A Quote Form. We require that all uploaded art be 20 megabytes or smaller. All art work must be provided in vector (digital) art. PDF, EPS and AI files work best.

WHEN SENDING IN ART FILES PLEASE INCLUDE A SEPARATE FILE FOR THE LAYOUT OF YOUR ART WORK. THIS FILE SHOULD SHOW THE BAG SIZE, THE SIZE OF THE ART, ANY PROCESSES DONE TO THE BAG SUCH AS VENTHOLES OR A DIE CUT, AND PMS COLORS. WE RECOMMEND ALL LAYOUT WORK TO BE SENT IN A PDF FILE.

Q: Do you have templates available?
A: We have a full range of templates for you to lay your art work out on. Please contact customer service at customerservice@adartpolybag.com to process your request.

Q: What is the maximum amount of ink coverage and colors that can be printed?
A: We can print up to 100% ink coverage (full bleed) on all sides and up to 8 colors including process print.

Q: Can I get a sample of the bag I am looking to make?
A: Of course! We have an entire sample department that can send you a sample of the bag you are looking to make as well as samples of other bags that you might be interested in. Please send all requests to samples@adartpolybag.com.

Q: What is the lead time for a custom printed bag?
All domestic bags have a lead time of 4 weeks. All imported bags have a lead time of 10 to 12 weeks.

Q: Do you offer rush service?
A: Rush service is offered on most of our domestic bags at an additional charge of $275. Please contact your sales representative at sales@adartpolybag.com for more information.

Printing Information

Flexographic and Rotogravure custom printing: This type of printing is used for plastic and paper bags that are printed in line, meaning the film is first printed and then converted into bags. Flexographic printing plates are made from rubber or photo polymer ensuring a crisp image. Rotogravure plates are made from metal and are primarily used by our factories over seas. Rotogravure plates produce the sharpest detail on bags that are printed inline.

Please note that non-standard ink colors (PMS matches) are subject to a $125 color match charge.

Hot Stamping: Hot Stamping is used for post printing, meaning the bag is already made and the foil is “stamped” onto the bag. The most common types of bags that are hot stamped are small runs of paper and plastic bags. You can hot stamp multiple colors on up to 2 sides. We do not recommend hot stamping bags if you are looking for tight registration on your art. Since hot stamping is done by hand, there is more room for error when placing the art on the bag. Ink Jet Printing: Ink jet printing is used for post printing, meaning the bag is already made and put through an ink jet machine. There are no printing plates used for ink jet printing. You can print multiple colors on two sides using this method. Standard area for ink jetting: less than 45 sq. inches.
