Four Color Process Printing Four color process is a system where a color image is separated into 4 different values by using filters and screens (CMYB). The result is a color separation of 4 images that, when printed, can theoretically reproduce every color by combining inks in varying strengths by the use of screens. This method is used when there is a need to reproduce images with great details (ex. pictures).
Spot Color Printing Spot printing is a process where a color is created and printed in 1 run. A job may be printed in up to 8 spot colors. Colors are picked from the PMS chart (Pantone Matching System).
