| Long before “Green” became a hot topic, Adart Poly Bag was doing something about it. For over the past 10 years, our research and development team in partnership with our manufacturing partners have been working on ways to produce packaging that is more environmentally friendly.
| We are proud to say that we are one of the few packaging companies that have been proactive on the research and development of “Green” packaging, and the results have been unbelievable! We can now manufacture bags that have the same look, feel and strength of plastic (in fact they are even stronger than plastic), but they are made from 100% organic material. This means that when the bags are composted properly, they will degrade into organic matter in as little as 45 days. The shelf life of these bags is the same as plastic bags (the degrading process only starts after the bags are composted). These bags are 100% biodegradable, and are certified by the United States composting council. They meet the ASTM 6400 Standard (American Society for Testing Material) which is the benchmark for biodegradable certifications. They also meet the European EU 13432 standards and DIN Certco standards as well.
| These Biodegradable Bags can be custom made into almost any type of plastic bag, and can be printed up to 8 colors including 4 color process print using water based inks. Since our Biodegradable Bags are made out of 100% organic ingredients, the natural color of the film is cloudy, thus we can produce Biodegradable film in almost any color except for clear.

| Degradable plastic bags: our degradable plastic bags are made from 100% virgin polyethylene combined with a bio additive. When the bags are disposed of properly, the bio additive breaks down the plastic into organic matter. Please note that some states only recognize bags that meet the ASTM 6400 Standard as being truly biodegradable, as such it is only legal to call the plastic bags “degradable” in these states. Please check with your states environmental agency to see if bio additive plastics fall under this category.
| Recycled post consumer plastic bags: most of our plastic bags can be manufactured from 100% recycled plastic. We do not recommend using recycled plastic for any product that will be in contact with food or used for any application that requires a sterile environment.
| Recycled post consumer paper bags: we can manufacture your custom paper bag out of post consumer recycled paper. The percentage of post consumer paper will depend on the style of the bag.
| Re-usable bags: we can custom manufacture re-usable bags in any style out of vinyl, canvas, and non woven polypropylene. Some of these products are offered for sale in our stock section here.
